"Born on December 23, 1948, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR. A Russian public official, public and political figure, scholar-historian, political scientist, opinion columnist, Orthodox ideologist. Dc. Sc. (History) (2002). Expert in the USA, Germany and general problems and trends of international relations. Member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the 4th convocation (2003-2007). Founder and president of the “Foundation for the Study of Historical Perspective” in Moscow (since March 13, 2007). Since 2008, the head of the Institute for Democracy and Cooperation. In 2009 – 2012, member of the Commission for counteracting attempted history falsification to the detriment of Russia at the President of the Russian Federation. Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation (since 2017).
The author of a number of studies on Russian foreign policy, the problems of the relationship between Russian “national-state” consciousness and the philosophy of Western European liberalism.
One of the initiators and co-chairs of many forums and associations of Russian society, the author of their conceptual programs, statements for protecting the indivisibility of Russia, in support of the Russian Orthodox Church, the actions of the Russian army in Chechnya in 1994-1996, against the expansion of NATO to the east and NATO’s military operation in 1999 against Yugoslavia.
She considers the return to the Russian “traditional foundations” and study the experience of Russian diplomacy, acquired in situations of the most difficult confrontation on the world stage in the 19th century, a prerequisite for the success of Russia’s foreign policy in the modern environment.
According to her public and political views, she considers herself a Christian-based conservative and defined herself as a “convinced Slavophile.” The “Orthodox Missionary Encyclopedia” described her as a person close to the secular Christianity and reformed Marxism.
She maintains scientific and public relations with European scholars and research centers (Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Greece), advocating for European states to preserve their sovereignty, against globalization and the dictates of supranational ideological, financial, and military mechanisms. Her book titled “Orthodox, Russia and Russians Around the Turn of the Third Millennium” is to be published in Beograd. She supervises the activity of Bureau for Propagandizing Belles – Lettres of the RF Union of Writers.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the “Russian World” Foundation, the “Foundation for the Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad”, a member of the Council of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society (IPPO) and the editorial board of the “Current History” series of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society.
Since 2009, a member of the Inter-Congregational Presence of the Russian Orthodox Church.
On February 6, 2012, she was registered as trusted representative of Vladimir Putin, candidate for the Russian Federation presidential election on March 4, 2012.
